How accurate is the hail map?

Every hail map on the market, ours included, is built from radar. Overview shows two surfaces for each storm date — the NEXRAD radar signature and the MESH radar-estimated size — and pins the NWS/SPC spotter reports beside them, so you can see where radar and the ground agree before you knock. HailStrike names NEXRAD and dual-pol radar and adds its own intensity scale; Overview shows the NEXRAD signature and the MESH size estimate as two separate surfaces so you can see where they disagree. Radar tells you where to look. Only an inspection confirms damage at an address, on any map. The honest test is to open a storm date you worked this season in both tools and compare it to what your crew found on the roofs.
