Who is Overview for?

Overview is built for roofing sales reps and project managers who prospect in the field. It brings hail maps, recommended places to prospect, and canvassing into an iPhone app you can use throughout your day.

What does “Prospecting on autopilot” mean?

It means less work deciding where to go next and keeping your day organized. Overview suggests work areas and follow-ups, helps you navigate, and tracks a canvassing session. You choose where to work, record outcomes, and handle the homeowner conversation.

What do the hail maps show?

Explore storm footprints, radar-estimated hail size, storm history, and live radar. The public website archive also includes radar surfaces and NWS/SPC reports. Radar tells you where to look. Only an inspection confirms damage at an address.

How does Overview recommend places to prospect?

Overview uses a proprietary Prospecting Score to surface promising areas and build a curated shortlist of places to work. Review a recommendation, choose your next neighborhood, and head out with a clearer plan.

What are Quests?

Quests are actionable recommendations in the app. They can point you to a suggested work area, a hail alert, no-answer doors, unfinished coverage, or a follow-up. Open one to see the context and decide what to do next.

Can I work an area I choose myself?

Yes. Use the map and your saved areas to choose where you prospect. Recommendations help you decide; they do not restrict you to a prescribed list.

What happens during a canvassing session?

Navigate to your area and start a session. With your permission, Overview tracks location and activity, suggests door visits, and gives you quick ways to log outcomes. Add notes and photos, then review your session and follow-ups.

Does location tracking automatically prove I knocked a door?

No. Location can suggest that you stopped near a door. You record the outcome; a GPS stop does not establish a conversation, appointment, or sale.

Does the app work with weak service?

Saved visits and notes can queue when connectivity drops and sync when a connection returns. Photos need a connection. Maps, navigation, and fresh recommendations also depend on available data, so do not plan on every feature being available offline.

How do I follow up after a session?

Your visit history, notes, outcomes, and session summaries keep the context together. Quests can bring back no-answer doors and unfinished work. Optional homeowner contacts, CSV exports, and postcards give you additional ways to follow through.

What are XP, levels, and the leaderboard for?

They help you see your progress and add some motivation to your field work. Your logged activity still matters on its own; XP is not a measure of revenue or a promise of results.

How much does the iPhone app cost?

Overview Pro is $149.99 USD per month in the US App Store. It includes hail maps, recommendations, canvassing, and web access for up to 4 team members. The plan includes 5,000 new addresses per user each month. Contacts and postcards are optional additional purchases.

How does the free iPhone trial work?

Start a 7-day trial during Overview onboarding, with no card required to start. It includes 200 addresses. You choose whether to subscribe in the app when the trial ends. This Overview trial is separate from an Apple introductory subscription offer.

Are the web trial and iPhone trial the same?

Their checkout terms differ. The web plan is $150 per month and its 7-day trial requires a card, with the first charge after the trial unless cancelled. The iPhone onboarding trial does not require a card to start. See pricing for the terms of each checkout.

How do I cancel or restore an App Store subscription?

Manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple Account subscription settings. Use Restore Purchases in the app if you need to restore an existing App Store purchase. For a subscription purchased on the web, use Overview web billing.

Can I use an existing Overview subscription?

Yes. Sign into the iPhone app with your existing Overview account. Your account’s active access carries across iPhone and web; you do not need a second subscription.

Which devices can I use?

The iPhone app requires iOS 18.0 or later. The web app is also available. Android is coming soon; no release date has been announced.

Do I have to buy homeowner contacts or postcards?

No. Contacts and postcards are optional. Available homeowner contacts cost $0.21 each, and postcards cost $0.75 each with print and postage included. You can use the maps, recommendations, and canvassing features without those purchases.
